I am ready to purchase a MacBook Pro with Retina Display 13-inch. My main use will be to run Logos 6. I am going to max out the ram to 16 GB and the PCIe-Flash Storage to 1 TB. My question is, what difference in performance will it be if I get the 2.9GHz  Dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boos up to 3.3 GHz as compared to the 3.1GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7 with Turbo Bust up to 3.4 GHz.

 I am leaning towards the i7, 3.1GHz.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

I have the 2.9 GHz i5 Macbook Pro 13" retina (16 gb RAM, 512 gb SSD). Logos runs very well on it.

I had a 3.4 Ghz i7 Quad-Core iMac and I can say I don't notice much, if any, difference in day-to-day operation of Logos. The big difference is the indexing takes a bit longer, but it's not intolerable.

If you have the money—go for the most you can get, but my experience says that money would be better spent elsewhere (like books [:)]).
