Hi I have had Logos for about a year now using Verbum as my main part of usage. I have has two upgrades. My second upgrade is coming up for it's payment plan and I realize I just can't afford it. My income is fixed. I was wondering if it is possible to not go with the upgrade and cancel it. I realize that I will lose things that I was using but I already had plenty of things I hadn't even had a chance to view before hand anyway. I may even have to go back to Verbum 5 which doesn't bother me at all. I'm not sure what this last package entails. I was getting emails for Verbum sales people with what looked like a good deal and not appearing to cost much more than what I was already paying. I can't take another 5  to 6 months of payments.

I would appreciate any help anyone has to offer or any knowledge anyone has on the subject.

Thank you,

Kathleen Wilted Flower

    Hi Kathleen,

welcome to the forums and sorry to hear about your circumstances. Faithlife has a full return policy for 30 days - so if you bought something in June, you can call customer service and simply return it, no questions asked. If you bought it earlier and it's just the monthly instalment of the payment plan, you should definitely try to work out something with Verbum customer support. Maybe they can stretch the payment plan over a longer period (I've read about such in the forums) or take back a large expensive resource or find another solution.

At any rate you will not need to go back to Verbum 5, since the software is free - you may lose functionality along with resources, should you e.g. give back Master and stay at Scripture Study or so.

I do hope and pray that you and the people at Faithlife come to a solution that doesn't overstretch your financial limits but lets you keep what you need for studying the word and the faith.

    Hi Kathleen

Sorry to hear that you are having problems -- most of us hit patches like this at some point in our lives.

I recommend ringing Logos directly, they have flexible policies and will be able to talk you through the standard options and maybe even create a non-standard option just for you.

They are really nice people and you will not be the first to need a bit of help.

Thank Mick for getting back with me so fast! I didn't expect an answer so quickly. I bought it earlier but haven't started the monthly payments as I'm still paying on another plan now. They have and are working with me now. I just don't want to continue to pay for something I don't think I will use nor miss. Is Faithlife the  company of Logos? I originally bought my first package with Verbum but it is a part of Logos.

    Thank you so much!

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for replying so quickly. I will be calling them today. I hope this will work out for me. They have always been very nice to me when I have called in the past.

Yes it is. Faithlife is the name of the company that produces Logos, Verbum and other applications.  In fact I originally wrote Logos, but didn't know if you would fully recognize this (since Verbum has its own environment except the forum) and switched to the official name.
