Visual Copy - freezing consistently
I hope I did the "sample" right. I opened the logging utility and restarted Logos. I have been using "visual copy" today to work on a keynote presentation (still won't "send to" Keynote properly). But it continually spins and then I have to close the visual copy - and then the whole program quits responding. Getting very frustrating for a feature that is supposed to make things easier - it is only making it longer and more difficult. Please advise.
The log - sample - is 18.9 MB and won't upload. Please someone help with this!! Thanks.

It could be an issue on your end, or it could be server issue. Visual Copy runs off of Logos servers. Without logs it is hard to try and diagnose. The link below is the wiki page that will tell you how to enable logging and then upload the logs.

I believe I did the logs - but they are 18.9MB and won't upload no matter what I try.

You've tried compressing (*.zip) them as per the wiki?

I did not try to .zip the logs. Honestly - didn't see that on the wiki (and don't visit that much) - and didn't have the time. Thanks.

I did the logs properly - but I don't know how to zip with Mac OS X. At this point I guess I just live with the slowness and freezing...I'll just try and utilize it less for now.

I don't know what instructions were linked to above, but the ones you should have been given automatically zip everything (see my signature line). I will note, however, that sometimes users installations seem to collect logs which end up making for even large zip files.

Visual copy is a great concept -- when it works. Hangs and freezes to the point I can't use it with any consistency and have to go back to producing slides in powerpoint. When usable, would be good to be able to stay with same slide/VC graphic (i.e. when posting scripture refs) and not have to scroll through unwanted slides to get to slide you used before and want to use again.

same issue here... use it and works great then it just spins another time and I give up and come back later a few months and see same issue. Hoping this will be rectified soon. All programs have bugs so I understand but is there an ETA to fix this? Thanks.

this is an old thread. Fwiw- there are a handful of users who bring this up from time to time. I'm not sure what to make of it, because it isn't my experience, nor is there a flood of complaints. It would be good for you to create a new thread, explain the issue clearly, and post logs (see my signature line). Are you behind a firewall?
