Toward getting a bead on those Lexicons

The VERY HELPFUL Right-Click Menu could be a bit less cumbersome if some of the upper lines were to be combined. As one can see, the Lexicons are hidden.

If in the Copy section:

Visual Copy were combined on the same line as Look up.

And in the Search section,

this resource (inline) / this resource

all open resources / all resources

the options on the lower part of the menu - the most important ones to me - the Lexicons - would be visible.

At present, EVERY time I want to look up a word in a lexicon, I need to right-click and then scroll down. (Yes, Logos has spoiled me.)

Wouldn't it be better not have to scroll down to the Lexicons - but just be able to immediately select the Lexicon of choice?

I seem to remember this being suggested a while back and agree that this is the best solution.

Either I don't understand you or you're doing something wrong. Your "click-click" has always worked for me and still does. Have you prioritized any lexica? (BDAG first, of course, then LSJ, Moulton and Milligan)

Agreed - Though this can complicate providing 'blind' support, the helper can no longer depend on the list order.

I think what George is hinting at is that you don't need to scroll down to the lexicon section and hit BDAG - if you click "Lookup", it will open the highest prioritized Greek lexikon (for a Greek lemma, that is).

Nevertheless I'm among those who'd like to see no scrolling in the context menu (Report Typo, anyone?) but collapsed segments or at least user-sorted entries.

There have been a considerable number of requests for items to be added to the right-click menu. In that case one must expect to need to scroll down to find the desired option. You can't have it both ways.

Or you can just keep the "Information" panel open on the right side of your screen. Then it's just one click (or even a hover) on a word to get a definition, and not two clicks or click-scroll-click.

But FWIW I would also like to have fewer options on the right-click menu, with lexicons front and center..

Which as one who reads neither Greek no Hebrew would not be my preference. That is exactly the problem that Logos faces. The ideal order for one group of users is anything but ideal for another.

While it might be better to have user control [to some extent] on the right-click menu, for the time being, George's answer [the Lookup selection] is going to do it for me.
