Just signed up for Logos Cloud Plus, and unfortunately all the links I can find to download the app lead to 404 errors.
And, no one is home until Monday, when I will be at work : (
Hi Cathy - and welcome to the forums.
Sorry to hear you are having problems.
What platform are you trying to download to and which links are you using?
Graham
Hi Graham, thanks for responding.
Logos Cloud for PC. The link in my "order is complete" screen, the link in the confirmation email, and the link here https://logoscloud.com/install
After reading more of the forum messages, I realize that I am probably one of the first ones to subscribe as Cloud only. Didn't know that when I signed up..
and the link here https://logoscloud.com/install
I've just tried downloading that link and it successfully downloaded the file.
404 error suggests the server you were accessing couldn't find the requested resource.
Which part of the world are you in? Just wondering if different servers are being used in different locations.
Hmmm. I'm in Florida.
Email me at phil@faithlife.com, and I'll email you the setup file. It's small.
The file downloaded--thanks. Before I install, though, is it for Logos Cloud Plus?
It should be the same for each level - the level you have signed up for will determine what resources are downloaded
Thanks for checking back in. Unfortunately, what Phil sent will not work for me. I did not choose a base pkg because right now I do not have drive space for one. This information is from the Cloud description page:
NOTE: You may be downloading up to 7GB of data. Once installed, Logos Cloud could take up to 13.5 GB of space on your drive.
Since I do not have 13.5 GBs, I called support to find out how much Cloud Plus would need. They assured me it would only take 3 GBs. To install the file Phil provided would take 21GBs.
I will wait until Monday and try to reach someone in support. If I indeed need a minimum of 21GB of space (to run what is advertised as a cloud-based program), I'll have to cancel.
Thanks again, though, for assisting on a holiday.
The download of over 3GB is only the resources. If you do not already have Logos 6 on your computer, then yes, it can easily take up to over 20Gb The program must index and has many other files/data bases. It needs the "cloud" though in order for some of the modules to work properly. This is not "cloud" in the usually understood use of that term. Very little of this is out there on someone else's cloud. this is almost all on your hard drive. Sorry.
Well, that's a bummer. I guess I'll be cancelling and waiting for the web app...
This is Cloud Premium, downloading some 2k resources.

Sounds somewhat reasonable, but maybe they only took the download size (near half the number of books) - a rough average of 3MB per book is plausible, then comes the index and some other stuff which may in a bad case take nearly the same size (usually it doesn't - for me the complete install is about 1/3 bigger than the resources folder). In that case you would need another 1-2 GB for indexes and such stuff.
To install the file Phil provided would take 21GBs.
can't be. Where did you get that info?
The program itself is about 120MB, the bulk of the size requirement is the resources plus 30% index and then a little extra. 21GB install, say 15GB resources would be a 5k books library
When I attempted to install the file, I got a message that said I did not have the 21gb necessary.

Okay, some clarification is needed.
