BUG: Read Aloud jumps around the verses!

When using Read Aloud on a Bible, it does not read, but simply jumps from verse to verse.

I can reproduce the same problem on both of my machines:

PC 1

1) I'm using 32-bit Windows XP Tablet PC, Logos 4.0a SR-3 (4.01.3.5180).

2) Enable a Neospeech voice (Paul or Kate) in the Control Panel.

3) Start Read Aloud on a resource, then stop it.

4) Go to another resource (Bible or commentary), and start Read Aloud.

5) It starts jumping around and not reading.  Read Aloud only works for the first resource selected.

PC 2

1) I'm using 64-bit Windows 7, Logos 4.0b Beta 6 (4.02.3.5916).

2) Enable a Neospeech (32-bit) voice (Paul or Kate) - http://community.logos.com/forums/t/10689.aspx

3) Start Read Aloud on a resource, then stop it.

4) Go to another resource (Bible or commentary), and start Read Aloud.

5) It starts jumping around and not reading.  Read Aloud only works for the first resource selected.

BTW, Paul and Kate do not pronounce contractions (e.g. didn't) correctly in L4 on both PC's.  May not be a Logos problem, but would be nice if it can be fixed.

I have reported this and other issues in the pre-launched beta.

Suggestion for work around

For your XP environment, try using AT&T voices, I remember that works.  NeoSpeech I recall only works on the first resource you read each time you restart Logos 4; it exhibit the behavior you describe for subsequent resources.

For your Windows 7 environment, try using the default voice "Anna" that comes with Windows 7. This appear to give the best result.  

Request to Logos:

Other voices would have some issues with pronunciation. What really would be helpful if Logos:

1. allows us to change voices within Logos 4 (like in Logos 3 beta(s))
2. have a simple configurable pronunciation editor (eg. TextAloud from www.Nextup.com)
3. Support a few more voice vendors (such as neospeech - it works with all Logos 3 betas, but, has the issue you are reporting on Logos 4)
