Can't install update

I recently installed the latest Beta version of Logos 4 and now everytime I open L4 I get a messge that an update is ready to be installed. Do you want to install it? (Recommended).

When I click "Yes", the install hits an error writing to file when it tries to update a folder Logos4\System\es\ and asks me to verify that I have access to that directory. If I hit "Retry" I get the same error until I have to cancel. It turns out this folder is read only and can't be updated.

What do I do? Is this caused by the Beta install?

If your OS is Vista or Windows 7 try running the Setup file with Admin Privilige (right click, Run as Admin). Otherwise try to give yourself (your user account name) at least Modify access to \Logos4\System\es and apply it to sub-folders and files (right click folder, select Properties then Security tab).

This is an installer error. I think I would rename the entire \es folder and let the installer try again. It should try to create a new folder.

Please enable logging and attach the installer log file if it crashes again.

Edit: I see Dave responded while I was thinking. If you have installed Logos 4 beta previously I suspect your folders have the right permissions, but maybe not.

I am on windows 7 and I re-clicked on the folder and changed it from read only and hit apply, but it kept switching back. I renamed the es folder to es-bak and got the error at the folder above that. Renamed that folder to system-bak and the install appears to have worked.
