Attach a note to a word or phrase Logos 6 Mac

How can I attach a note to a word or phrase in Logos 6 Mac. Logos has allowed me to do this in the past, but at this time when I highlight a word or phrase & use the Control key to "Add a note to" the note is added to the whole verse, at the verse number. I'd like to add the note to a single word if possible.

Don't know about the shortcut Control key, but use the right click menu and click Selection on the right side then "Add a note" on the left side.
