I've just been given a surface pro device from work, but I use mac at home where I use logos 6. Can I access and manage my logos resources from the surface pro?

Sure... as long as it is a "pro" and as long as you have the space... I guess it also depends upon what you mean by "manage." You can't download a subset of your library... it's all or nothing.

Follow the "install" link in my signature line to download the windows engine.

Here is a link to a wiki article which could save you some serious download time (depending upon your library size): https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers

Thanks for your reply. When I followed your 'install' link, I found the core engine, but the website says I already own it, which I do, I downloaded it only to my mac. So I'm still stuck as to how to access logos on my surface. Other paths lead me to the same dead end.

You need to download the windows version to your surface! The link I provided takes you to instructions. Under "step 1," the second sentence has a clickable link on the word "here." Click that, and it will take you to a download page for both windows and mac.

OK, thanks, I was clicking on "download free logos 6 core engine" under the image, which took me to the store. As it turns out I solved it by creating another account to download the engine, then signing in on my original account once it downloaded. Thanks for your time.

Sorry to bother you again, but the link you refer to doesn't work. When I clicked on the word 'here' it doesn't take me to the download page, it just takes me back to the another link which takes me to the store, which tells me I already own the Logos 6 core engine. This is a frustrating loop.

I tried to solve it by creating another account and downloading the engine afresh, which worked, however having two accounts is messy, so I've uninsrtalled logos and am trying to install it via my original account. I just cant get to that download window.

    any idea anyone?

I am confused by your comments. Hopefully we can figure this out. [:)]

Does the word "account" in your sentence mean the SAME thing every time? If so, what do you mean by "account"? Are you talking about a user account on your computer, or a customer account with Faithlife? The only way I can make sense of what you wrote is if you were using "account" in both ways... but I am not sure that you are. Please enlighten me. [:)]

You should NOT be using a second user account on your computer unless you want to double the storage space taken up by Logos (which can be VERY large). I think you mean that you created a second customer account (which I know you did, since you have two usernames in this thread). It should not have been necessary to create a second customer account, but you should not be using it. You should always use your primary credentials. However, it doesn't matter what account you used to download the engine... you can choose which credentials you want to use when installing the software engine.

THIS LINK should take you to the system requirements, with a link right below to download the engine (see screen shot above). If you don't see the download link, it may be one of the following:

    • You aren't signed into your account on the webpage (if so, log in)
    • You are signed into the wrong account on the webpage (if so, log out, then back in).
    • Your internet browser is blocking the section from appearing (if so, try a different browser).

If that doesnt work, let us know. You might need to call customer service during business hours.
