preferred Bible . . . wha??

My preferred Bible is NIV. (yeah, I am a theological slacker)
But in my study today, the pop-up resource is showing my references in the NET.
I guess my first thought is this is indexing? But how? It had been fine the last couple days. And it has been indexed within the last week or so. Could it be something else?
Beta 7, fwiw.

Double check your preferred resources. Sometimes, without explanation, these can get messed up.

Especially when installing a new beta.

Kevin, if you mean on the ribbon, yes, I have. It is "NIV."

Check your prioritizations, too. These can sometimes get messed up with installations of new betas, and for popups, Logos might be looking at your prioritized Bibles not your preferred Bible.

Is this different in the Beta? In SR-3 all choosing a preferred Bible does is prioritize it above other Bibles. Likewise, prioritizing a Bible selects it as your preferred Bible.

i will, thanks Rosie. they are totally discombobulated right now anyway. After arranging them by type, they are all rearranged and intermixed.

Ah, you're right (that's the case in 4.0b Beta 7 as well). I thought I'd seen people reporting that certain features seem to ignore the "preferred" Bible and just look at the #1 prioritized Bible (which wasn't necessarily your preferred Bible; you'd actually have to put it in both places to be sure it's used for all features). Maybe this was a prior design flaw which was fixed in 4.0a, though. In any event, it was my poor attempt to explain what might be causing the behavior Dan is seeing (which seems like a bug to me). Guess I was wrong. Oh well...

well, it had something to do with prioritization (or, for my Aussie and UK fans: prioritisation). But here is the weird way I fixed it:
- opened library/prioritize, and I saw NIV at the top of the list. NET was next. most of my Bibles were grouped near one another, but commentaries had gotten mixed in among them.
- I put ESV at number two and proceeded to group the rest of my prioritised Bibles together.
- Hovered over a commentary link and VOILA: NIV was the pop up translation.
No clue what/why, just THAT. [^o)]
