Crash - Bug - Logos stuck in loop

Logos 6.4 SR-2

MacOS 10.10.4

When I start Logos I get the blue circle at the top left with a '1'(figure 1) in it. Clicking this I get

"Resources are ready to be added to your library"

"Updates will be added when the application is restarted"

No amount of restarting / waiting / cycling / rebuilding library / or anything else I try will clear this.

I see other reports of this, so following instructions there, here is my log file'

From my understanding, the only problem you are having is that Logos is reporting an update, but there doesn't appear to be one, and the update indicator doesn't go away... right? I know there was a bug, but I don't know if it has been fixed. If you are concerned about not receiving an actual update, please let us know.

Yes, that is the issue.

I have no idea if an update has failed, I must assume so as Logos is reporting it has received one 'resources are waiting to be added' and asking me to restart Logos.

When I restart Logos, it still says 'resources are waiting to be added' so I must assume there is a resource is has downloaded, but failed to install, perhaps this is a corrupt update, perhaps as you suggest a bug.

How can I know which it is? Is there a description of the bug you refer to anywhere?

I recommend exiting the application, then deleting the file: /Users/apple/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/keqvf5ag.snl/ResourceManager/Resources/JHNMCRTHRSRRCHV.logos4

Then start the application again, and use the command "update resources".

I took a look at your logs... but I only "dabble." I found this:

07/08/2015 17:33:52 | WARN | 29 | UpdatePipelineManager | Job finished in DiscoveryUpdateStage queue: 'Resource LLS:JHNMCRTHRSRRCHV' (DiscoveryFailed).

I think it might be related. I know it is a John McArthur resource, but I don't know which one. Maybe the sermon archive? If you can figure out which one, perhaps hide the resource, let Logos do its thing, then unhide it again.

[:D] I get to cheat. I have an internal tool that lets me find all the information about a resource by resource ID, including the filename.

Yup - Deleting the file Andrew pointed to and updating resources caused the McArthur Sermon Archive to re-download.

Logos is currently reindexing, could be a while

I will report back when it completes, but looking good so far.

Reindexing complete, Logos restarted as a check, problem fixed.
