Niggling issue

I realize it's not the biggest deal in the world, but it is persistent and irksome none the less. When I close L4 and then reopen it, the contents panel always reverts back to being about 2 inches wide. True, all I have to do is slide it over to the 1/2 to 3/4 in. width I prefer, but I shouldn't have to do that. Wherever I set it is where it should stay...which is how my beloved L3 works. I consider this a bug...could someone please give it a good spray?  Please and thank you.

Fifteen (!!!) years on, and this issue is still unsprayed. To redescribe, I prefer my Bible's contents window to be as narrow as possible. Every time I close and reopen the program, I have to resize that panel. Can't this be fixed? I just want how I set it to be unaffected by a restart.

I can't replicate your issue. Are you using a specific layout? or are you opening to the last view?

I have mostly used the same layout ever since L4 came out. I have dozens of books that have been opened most of that time, and their windows remain sized to whatever I choose when I close and reopen…except for the contents window of my NASB95. It always gets resized to a default width each time I restart. To be specific, same layout…and yes, last view.

If it is a layout, you must save the layout with the smaller window for it to reopen with the change - just like all changes to the layout.

Tried that and it didn't work. When I restarted, the contents pane was 2.25" wide on my screen…I reduced it down to 1" (the minimum). As far as I can tell, it's the only window that doesn't maintain its size after restart—fifteen years running. 🤨

It works for me … not sure what you can be doing differently.

Can we see a screenshot of your layout (preferably with no more than 10 tabs) that shows the issue.

First pic shows how I prefer my TOC (as narrow as possible).

Second pic shows how it opens up when I restart.

I cannot reproduce even when I cram 10 tabs into the tile (the other has 6). Whether I close TOC and save, or leave TOC open and save, or allow auto save on exit, the width is unchanged.

Oh, well…not that big of a deal. I appreciate you looking into it.

Fwiw, this issue has persisted on about half-a-dozen different computers over the years.
