I was wondering if anyone else has seen an enormous difference between indexing in a virtual machine as opposed to a native windows cpu. My old laptop, centrino proc dual core 1.87ghz with 4gm ram and 320 hd vista 64 bit home premium indexed a new purchase in about five minutes without breaking a sweat.
My macbook with core 2 intel proc 2.2ghz? 4gb ram 250 hd has been working for hours and I don't know when it will be done. this is the case every time. I have 2gm of ram and 90gb hd dedicated to the vm xp home, and I even told it about both processors this time and it still didn't make a difference.
Wondering if it is just the old fusion software, 2.0.6 or something else.
