Suggestion: alternative display for noncontinuous passages

I understand why noncontinuous passages are treated as separate citations. However, I would like to be able to highlight a noncontinuous reference and select an alternative view - continuous with omitted text in gray:
1st image - what I currently see; 2nd image - what I'd like the option to see.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
