I will try to explain this the way I am seeing it.
Information under the Tools/ Lookup option: have Logos run the concordance tool in the background for any pericope our Bible might be open to. It would automatically define the limits of the search field according to (which Bible is open and) how THAT Bible defines the pericope. Then, by hovering over words in that passage, we could see concordance results for that word kind of “as we go”. If we are interested in any results along the way we could hit the more option to see that word’s results expanded the way we would see it in the Concordance Tool view.
Benefits: 1] the search limit is already defined 2] we are not needing to wade through a hundred words to get to the words that may interest us. 3] It allows for spontaneous Bible investigation with a minimal of effort. 4] the Info Pane on the right side of the Logos screen seems to be the perfect place for this feature to be integrated more fully into the workings of the whole program.
Example: The easiest example is probably John 1. We may already have some ideas about how John creates a number of streams (concepts) running through his writings. [i.e. light, darkness, love, word, etc]. With this feature, we can trace these concepts quickly and easily. The benefits of the Concordance Tool are maximized with a simplified approach. IMHO
