That's Easy to Say
This program pronounces Bible words and names. When I went to use it the first time without the Internet, it did not work. I have now been informed by Customer Support that this is just the way it is. If I click on a word in the program while on the Internet it downloads the file as is available without the Internet after that. It looks like my only solution is to click on every single entry in the program while at home on the Internet which might take hours and hours. I normally use Logos 6 at the church where there is no Internet.
Can someone make the entire audio set available as a single download so it can be used without the Internet?

While working offline you can use the Factbook pronunciations as well. To check if you have this 1) go to the tools menu and click on "pronunciations." 2) change the pronunciation list to "Factbook Headings." 3) check a Factbook page to see if you have the speaker icon.

I feel your pain and add my vote for an improvement.
There should be an easy way to click on a word in your Study Bible or even Faithlife Bible and voila - it is then said aloud for you.
This is basic functionality that anyone imagining real world everyday use of Logos would, could, and should easily discern.
Addendum: The pronunciation guide is actually not that bad. Lets hope they add to it.
Great beginning though. I was humbled when I discovered it just now based upon post here.

A bit of history. When Logos began, computer speech for pronouncing names was not an option on most people's computers. And as Logos developed a market that leaned towards some Bible College, Seminary or other higher education i.e. people comfortable with using dictionaries to find the pronunciation, the user priorities were for other features. By today's standards the pronunciation is expected and has been added as Mike illustrated. I do expect broader implementation of the feature as Logos grows its non-trained user base.
Remember that every feature has users that consider it "fundamental to their work", "good for the whole but I never use it", and "a useless frill".

Another way that you can work within the current Logos system to easily provide pronunciations of people and places in the Bible is to prioritize the resource That's Easy for You to Say in your library as your highest prioritized resource with English headword index. This will allow you to double click on any English word in your Bible to quickly launch That's Easy for You to Say directly to the pronunciation for that name or place.

Seriously, Mike. This seems like a lot of hoops to jump through just to get a word pronounced. That's Easy for You to Say has one purpose. It simply pronounces words that are not that obvious at first and second glance. A little program like this does not require the Internet to work. The same program works fine and dandy in WordSearch. Why LOGOS can't figure out a solution to this without the Internet boggles the mind.
