Suggestion: Create a separate tab or Homepage Section JUST TO VIEW DEVOTIONALS

Logos could really could become quite useful if you could move things around on your homepage and say put devotionals all in one place (that automatically populate/update based upon the date).

Thanks for putting this into your next iteration guys.

I find Logos Now useless and a cashdrain (so I opted out).  I am still waiting for what I would consider basic user functionality that should have existed years ago.

God bless your efforts though everyone.

Devotionals already automatically populate/update based on the date, but they aren't all in one section on the Home page. That's probably because the Home page is meant to show snippets of content, not entire devotions (or articles). You simply wouldn't read the complete devotion on the Home page.

To view anything that appears on the Home page, you'd open that resource from the Home page, be it a devotional or a bible or other book, and read it within that resource.

If you want to view all your devotionals, you should use a layout as KS4J mentioned. There is a specific quickstart layout that you can customize with your preferred devotional(s) and it can be opened with one click, right from the Home page.

Logos already can do far more than what is "basic," but it involves you customizing specific layouts to appear the way you want.

Making it simpler for basic users sounds like you'd want FL to do the customization for you, but there's no guarantee that the "basic" layout you'd like would also be popular with everyone else for their devotional reading.

I think most users come to appreciate learning how they can customize individual layouts the way they want.

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Josh, how should the system determine which devotionals to display on this separate tab.  ? And in what order ?  Ihave 101 resource of the type calendar devotional. Should this tab display all 101 resources ? The Logos store is currently showing 326 devotional resources. I"m not sure if they are alll of type calendar devotional but that is a lot of resources.

Even for the easy layout features you desire you still need to learn at some point how to do basic things like prioritize resources for such 'easy' features to be of value.  The system can't make all the decisions for you - unless you want it to also decide for you what devotional to ready on any given day.

The quick layouts as others have suggested is what you are looking for and a great starting for point for learning how layouts work.
