Share system updates?

I'm a missionary living on a missionary centre with a growing number of Logos users. One big problem for us is that we don't have unlimited access to the internet to download updates from the internet. Instead we pay some dollar cents per mb.

I see that personal updates (like books that you buy or packages etc.) need to be downloaded individually from your account. However, it would save us a lot of money if it would be possible to download the Logos system updates (like the ones with the fixed bugs, etc. - SR-3, 4, 5, 6, etc.) once and share these with others that have the same version of Logos.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

On Windows: once downloaded software update files are kept at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Logos\Install\Installers. You can generally run the Logos .msi file (abt. 114 MB) to update SR-1, SR-2 etc. Put it on a portable drive to share with others.

A major update (6.3, 6.4, 6.5, etc) might need other executable files e.g. DXSetup (the extra files in the \Installers folder) or .NET. Unless you are technically minded, a major update is best done individually in the normal way.

On Mac: The .dmg file is about 170 MB. It can always be downloaded, saved to a location of your choice and then shared.

That is not generally available. You can get it via LogosSetup i.e. download Setup, run LogosSetup.exe and it will do the rest unless your installation is already up to date!
