I don't understand where you're going with that George.
However this is an interesting development. One of the imam's that followed Muhammad gathered and destroyed all of the oldest fragments, and full manuscripts - ordering them burned. The reason was there were scores of differences to that point, so the guy selected his preferred edition and destroyed the rest. Finding a truly old edition would be interesting from an apologetics perspective... It wouldn't matter to most Muslims, but it is interesting to me - a Christian.L2 lvl4 (...) I am currently reading http://www.amazon.com/Early-Islam-Critical-Reconstruction-Contemporary/dp/161614825X/ . It speculates that Islam originates from a Christian monophysitic sect. (It is not an easy reading, so I recommend it only for the toughest). Also it suggests that the Qura'n is based on a Christian book. Thus there is no wonder if they find fragments of Qura'n even before the time of Mohammed.
By the way, this book would be good in Logos because it has many links to existing Logos resources

I would heartily agree. That is why I place (snicker) after the subject. I don't think the Allah of Islam is the same as the God of Christianity but rather Satan himself.

Yes, in English a "grocery" is where you buy food related items, but in Spanish "groserÍa" is rudeness. Never assume that the meaning of a word that sounds similar to a word in another language means the same.
