Logos 5 can't update and now can't open
Hi
My Logos 5 fails to update since a newer base package is needed. Now I can't open Logos 5. I appreciate any advice to start using the software again without the update.

Why don't you 'purchase' the free Logos 6 core engine and install that?

Hi Mark,
thanks for reply. I have already tried that but fail. It still prompts that "Logos requires Windows 9 Service Pack 1 or newer" and that the installation did not succeed. My Asus laptop is running on Windows 7.Professional. Presently, I am trying to fix my Windows Update but it will take some time. I need to access Logos as soon as I can.

You can download Windows 7 SP1 from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842
That might work, even if Windows Update isn't working.
You really should fix Windows before trying to get anything else to work. Not even having SP1 is going to cause you all sorts of trouble.

Hi Mark,
Windows Update refuses to update itself. It took me a while to troubleshoot and repair but I managed to get it going.
I have followed your instruction to download SP 1 and it works. Thank you for guiding me!
