Do I need to install VERBUM and the Logos package or software on my Mac?
As far as I know, Logos and Verbum are the same app with different default homepage information, so you can't really install both at the same time.
Welcome Charles! As far as I know, Logos and Verbum are the same app with different default homepage information, so you can't really install both at the same time. Correct. You should choose the ONE you want to install... Else you will take up twice the space on your hard drive!
Incorrect. Logos and Verbum almost identical applications that have different homepages, passage guides, pre-installed collections, etc. You can really install both at the same time, but only one is needed.

I didn't catch the last part (i.e. "so you can't really install both at the same time."), so strike "correct." The rest of my comment ("else you will take up twice the space on your hard drive") remains.
Just for clarification of the above comments from Fr Nicklaus, SineNomine & alabama24[:)]
Verbum has some pre-installed "collections" of resources that appear under Resources in Basic Search (e.g. Catechism, Church Documents), has different options for Homepage, a few different tools like the Catholic Topical Index, the Liturgical Layout, and the Saints Database but shares/syncs the same templates for Guides.
You can install and run Logos and Verbum side by side with the same sign-on, same resources, same Guides and they sync with each other. They are separate installations and thus take up twice the space.
Your choice is whether to install one or both.
