Chronic Crashes

Things have been going quite well until this morning with L6 beta 5. I have L6 set up to open with the home page (not a blank layout or a saved layout) and sometimes the home screen will appear but crashes very soon after appearing, sometimes it crashed before the home screen appeared. Right now L6 is dead in the water for me.  Logs attached. 1145.LogosLogs.robertdeacon.20150803-065652.zip 

EDIT: I am using Mac OS X El Capitan public beta 3 and L6 has been working fine up until this morning. No changes have been made to software or hardware on my MacBook Pro.

Hi Bob

You have no doubt noticed the other recent reports of crashes on loading the home page in this forum.

The home page opened once for me this morning, but crashed as soon as I scrolled it.

I was finding difficulty getting Logos to open to the home page holding down the Cmd key but I was able to reset to open to a blank layout in the seconds between the program starting and the crash. It seems that Logos was unable to sync this setting from my stable version so a bit of nimble finger work was required.

Thanks for the reply. I knew my situation was related to some others I have seen on this forum but what is strange is I rebooted my computer and tried L6, it crashed. After a few minutes I started L6 again and this time it worked fine!

 Yes Bob - the crash is due to something/s on the home page. What is actually showing on the home page seems to determine the crash.

I have changed the 'opening' setting until a patch is published.

Erwin reports that turning off  'Faithlife Today' on the homepage works for him.

It has worked once for me - but then I have only tried it once.

This should be resolved in 6.5 RC 1.  Opening to a blank layout, will allow the update to download alternatively, the update is available to download here: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/52967.aspx
