I am trying to decide between purchasing 'The Life Application Commentary Series" (https://www.logos.com/product/5762/the-life-application-bible-commentary) and New Testament for Everyone by Wright (https://www.logos.com/product/38934/new-testament-for-everyone-series).I have used the Life Application before and know that I like it, but I haven't had any experience with the commentaries from Wright; can anyone make a recommendation one way or the other? Thanks!
I have wright and like them. I bought them during 'march madness' sale when they were dirt cheap. I would rather have the LAC if I could choose.
Yes Life Application more useful

Life Application all day long! Wright is not really a commentary. Is more like him telling a story to make a point, but sometimes it takes him too long to get to the point.

Thanks Guys!

You didn't ask, but honestly I'd pick neither, but I don't know what you have and what you want in a commentary.
For about the same price as LABC or Wright I'd choose the Tyndale Commentary if I didn't have it.
For application I'd rather have the NIV Application Commentary (but that is quite a bit more money and is stronger in the OT than the NT). For a lot less than the NIVAC you can get the New American Commentary if you just need a good extra commentary (and might get it cheaper by doing a base package upgrade).
Again, a recommendation depends on what you have and what you are looking for. I would put both Wright and LABC pretty low on my list of desired commentaries (as you can see).
That's a good point, and I am sure open to suggestions. I currently have: Lenski, Pillar, Nac, NIGTC, UBS, I also have around 20 if the NIVAC. I picked these 20 up when they were on sale for 7.99 each, I wish I would have bought them all when on sale.
Maybe I don't need anything else, just like the ease of read and practicality of the Life Application.
Not familiar with Tyndale commentary, but I'll check it out, Thanks!

This is a series I love a lot, it may not be right for you but while it was in PrePub I made the above samples and you can give them a look to see if this set might be right for you.

I do like the Tyndale Commentaries and use them frequently.
I think one of the best commentary sets I've picked up recently is Teach the Text https://www.logos.com/product/52893/teach-the-text-commentary-series
It's and awesome set for sermon and lesson prep.
Thanks Guys! I'll check these out!
Another series I didn't see mentioned for ease of readability and solid content is the Bible Speaks Today. The NT is available today (no pun intended), and the OT is under development. I use it regularly when preparing exegetical studies, and find the series helpful.
