Documentation of manuscript conventions

Makemie, Francis. A Narrative of a New and Unusual American Imprisonment of Two Presbyterian Ministers. Early American Imprints, 1639-1800; No. 1300. New York: William Bradford? for the publisher, 1707.
This series has some typographical conventions re: missing, unreadable et. al. manuscript issues. Are these documented anywhere? I can make educated guesses for some of them but others require verification of my "guesses".
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I don't know how this resource was produced, but you could probably fill in the gaps from this copy of it (which appears to have a completely different set of OCR errors): http://www.forgottenbooks.com/readbook_text/Tracts_and_Other_Papers_Relating_Principally_to_the_Origin_Settlement_1000598870/197
