Coming in September: Zondervan / Thomas Nelson Dynamic Pricing and Sale Event

Hi,
Sorry folks, I am more price sensitive now considering the recent significant strengthening of USD against most of the other currencies. So I am more diligent in checking what I am buying.
I have a question on the "Jimmy Swaggart Bible Commentary" series, which is part of the Complete Thomas Nelson Bundle. I noticed that 2 of the following titles where not included:
- Jimmy Swaggart Bible Commentary: Numbers & Deuteronomy ($22.95)
- Jimmy Swaggart Bible Commentary: Isaiah ($22.95)
Was it missing accidentally or intentional [:(] which means we need to pay another USD$45.90 to have the complete collection.

Word Biblical Commentary (WBC)
Hmmm... my dynamic price = $53.63
I have five volumes that are new to me, which would cost 5 x $9.99 = $49.95 if purchased individually.
Is this price offset intentional?

It has something to do with a 10% rebate that is coming back to purchasers in October.

As I recall Dan is right. Z wanted to charge us MORE for the bundle than they were willing to sell the singletons. But you get 10% back if you buy the set making it actually slightly cheaper than the singletons, eventually, and in store credit.Lee said:Word Biblical Commentary (WBC)

I agree this is an omission that needs to be addressed.Super.Tramp said:

In addition to what was already said above, part of the reason for the price differential is that the three latest volumes, have been released as an upgrade bundle recently released which had not been broken down yet. So, they are not listed as individual volumes for the $9.99 price. In my case, it is not a problem because there was only one other WBC volume I was missing along with them and so to upgrade to the whole collection with a 10% works out quite nicely (and even without it would still be a fantastic deal). I can imagine that for someone who has less volumes, upgrading to the entire collection may be more daunting financially. I am not sure whether sales could make it possible for those who want it to buy one or more of the three volumes individually.

These two volumes were included. Can you confirm you're still not seeing them?

I see. We will get this chart fixed. In the meantime, I can confirm that these two resources are in the collection and will download properly. We'll make sure this chart is updated to reflect this.

EDITED: I'm a slow typist today. [:D] I see you already got it.

They are not listed in the "Individual Titles" section of the product page but they are listed in the "More details.." section.
I can not personally vouch for them downloading as I have not yet purchased them.

I have NOT done the purchase yet, still have some issues I am sorting out with sales. By the way if you are fixing the chart to include the 2 volumes you might want to fix "The Jimmy Swaggart Bible Commentary (25 vols.)" in the list of major collections in the summary at the top of the page. Including the 2 volumes ... it should be 27 vols.

Thanks to Dan Francis, abondservant and Francis for clearing my doubts about the pricing.
Later I also found this official statement from Glenn: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/114883/760208.aspx#760208

Apparently the price of the vols. in the set (versus individually) comes out to $10.74 a piece and not $9.99.

You are correct. This is the set price divided by the number of volumes. To make buying the volumes you are missing less expensive, Z and L offer 10% back if you buy them all by purchasing the dynamically priced set. That 10% credit will end up making the volumes you buy less than $9.99 it would cost to buy them individually. (See the link in Lee's posting.)
Of course, if you don't want all the volumes you do not already have, the $9.99 price is the way to go to get the ones you do want.
