New Journal Bundles, How best to use them.

Like many of you I have the new Master Journal Bundle.

I wanted to make this post to see what you are doing to best use the new Journals.

I have tagged mine and made a collection for searching, but are there others way to use them better?

Please detail what you are doing so that we can help each other use resource better.

Hi Lee,

I use that Journal collection and put it in my custom passage guide and custom topical guide. That way when you are studying a verse or topic you can see what your journal collection may have to add to your studies. Note that there is a new Journal section available in the PG, but I have found it to be incomplete at this point.

My workflow is similar to John. I have created a journal collection and added it to my passage guide and topical guide. I have also tagged them by genre to allow for more narrow searches (i.e. Journal--Biblical Studies; Journal--Apologetics, etc.). I am still looking for other ways to use them so I look forward to the suggestions in this thread.

I think performing searches on the Journal collection limiting the search to Heading Text, Large Text, Titles and Tags gets me some pretty spot on searches beyond what may be in the PG and TG. In addtion, if you open a Journal Collection in the PG it will open the top 5 hits and then offer to Search the Theological Journals. Click on search and now you and amend the search further for better targeting. Example Gal 2:15-21 you can limit the search to articles focusing on comparison with James. I use it to further target what I am studying.
