I just installed A13, it appears to sign in, gets to the initial home page, then crashes. Not very usable at this point.
Is there anything I can do?
Blessings
Joe,
I am having this same issue. Here is my log file. (I hope I logged it correctly.)

Aloha,

Allen,
Can you make sure your nlog.config is set up properly. See Step 1 here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6731.aspx
That will give us more debugging information in the Indexer.log and allow me to see which resource file is causing the problem. It looks like a Clause Visualizer resource is bad, but I'd have to see which file to actually track down the problem.
Tom
I followed the steps as they are stated. Inside of the suggested folder. Here's another attempt at it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Inside of the "Logging" folder there are the 3 files that are supposed to be compressed together and the nlog.configure file. Is this correct?
Also, here's another attempt to send the archive file...
7288.Archive.zip
Maybe you can direct me if I am wrong.
Thanks,
allen
You did well. Please delete this file: /Users/allentownsend/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/uz9p4dmp.omf/ResourceManager/Resources/OpenTextGraph.lbxclv and restart Logos 4.
Tom,
Thanks. I did as you suggested and it crashed again. What can I do now?

This looks like a bug in our code. If you try and delete all of the *.lbxclv resources in /Users/allentownsend/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/uz9p4dmp.omf/ResourceManager/Resources/ and restart L4 you should get further.
I'll see if I can reproduce this and fix it in the next alpha.
That worked! Thanks.
I have the same problem and after reading this discussion, I kinda skipped the previous steps and deleted a .lbxclv file, "afsyntaxgraphs.lbxclv" to be exact (there's only one). Then my problem is solved
When I was online, the alpha 13 crashed after it logged in. The engine started and appeared for a few seconds and it crashed. I tried it a few times and the same results. Then I resorted to try booting it up but worked offline, and the engine started out without any problems at all. Hope this info may come in handy for you.
Here are the log files if it helps as well.11352.Archive.zip
Simon,
Based on your log file, I'm guessing that the following Font is killing the indexer:
Scanning file /Users/Simon/Library/Fonts/华文黑体.ttf...
If you can remove this font form your Fonts folder and try again, perhaps you will get further.
Thanks for the info. Actually, I did not realize my indexer was crashing until you mentioned it. My logos is running fine but the indexer is not constantly crashing still, even after I deleted the font. Any idea how & why even a font can cause the crash??
Here's another set of logs, hope they will help solve more mysteries. Thanks! 17453.Archive.zip

You need to run "Rebuild index" from the command bar. There is a known index corruption bug when merging documents into the index which is now crashing your indexer.
