Just to let you know that this verse, 2 Samuel 7:3, is not a very good verse to use on a poster in isolation, since in its context it turns out to be not very good advice.
Yep! I wish Logos would actually get once and for all that not every verse needs to be put on an "art slide." I also wish they would get that not all the art matches the verses they post. Like the one from yesterday that had a bent gun and has nothing to do with Philippians 4:7! I know you cannot please everybody but still be more thoughtful don't just throw a picture there and be done with it.

Thanks, DAL. I didn't see yesterday's, so I can't really comment; but from your description it does seem to be outside the playing field.
Reminds me of the mythical man who wanted to do only what the Bible lead him to do listening to no one else. So he opens his Bible, "he departed; and he went and hanged himself." pondering this he opened his Bible again the words the jumped out to him we “Go and do likewise.” thinking this cannot be right he flipped a few more pages and got “Do quickly what you are going to do.” Context is everything, otherwise you end up doing some pretty foolish things and believing some odd things. Without fuller context and wisdom from other parts of scriptures poly cotton blends and shrimp would still be considered abominations.

Definitely use discernment when reposting verses. Some you can just repost and leave it at that, others you have to explain or not post. This is especially true for a public audience in which you have no idea of the level of understanding.
Thanks, DAL. I have to agree; doesn't seem to illustrate the verse. In fact, I'm not quite sure what it illustrates.
I agree. Both of these were awful. Here is the one referenced in the OP:
It won't post for some reason. [:s]
It won't post for some reason.
I'll try.
It doesn't even illustrate peace; heck it doesn't even illustrate karma. Maybe someone trying to commit suicide but it went wrong so they ended up not killing themselves...haha :-P
I think the bent gun is to suggest that violence returns upon the one committing it. Generally I don't care much for the "artwork" with verses. Somewhat lame.
