Can't open or close. I can't even log out of my Mac because it is running in the background. It has been this way for over a month. Any suggestions?
Have you tried to force quit the application? Cmd-Opt-Esc will give you the dialog window to accomplish this.

A force quit should allow you to restart the computer. Once you do that, please enable logging (instructions in my signature line) and open Logos. If you have problems again, grab the log files per the simple instructions provided and post them in this (or a new) thread.
I have never had any problems with a hard reset on a mac. In your situation, if my work was saved, I would use the power button. If the work wasn't saved and force quit doesn't work then I'd open a terminal and use the command 'ps -A|grep Logos' to find the pid of logos and then I would do 'kill -9 [pid]'. Then I'd save my work and reboot. Come back to us if you need more help!
