Pronunciation of Greek or Hebrew word

Thanks much for your help in advance. I know well how to get the Greek or Hebrew word pronounced in Logos 3. Does L4 have this capability? I thought it would be somewhere on that right click menu on the interlinear. In another 6 months, I should get to a Morris Proctor seminar and make L4 a powerful tool, as L3 was/is!

Not all base packages have pronounce. I believe it is available for Scholars and above.

Right-click on the word. From the right side of the pop-up select "Lemma." On the left panel that opens, just a bit below half-way down or so you should see these terms listed horizontally: "Copy | Bible Word Study | Pronounce | Perseus Lookup." (Below these should be a list of lexicons.) You obviously want to press "Pronounce."

If that doesn't get you what you want, I'll give you a screen shot.

I have the Scholars Platinum version. Your response works ok in the NT, however, the Pronounce does not appear as an option in the OT (ESV). Am I missing something? Thanks...

No, there has never been (to my knowledge) a Hebrew pronunciation in Logos/Libronix. There's a Hebrew Pronunciation module in prepub right now. http://www.logos.com/products/prepub/details/3349

No Gary there has not been a Hebrew pronunciation module in Logos. They have been working on it as Kevin has told you in pre-pub. They found it to be a lot more difficult to get the Hebrew than the Greek. Get in on the pre-pub (I have been signed up for almost 2 years now) and you'll get it as soon as it is ready. I am sure it will be great.

Wow. I really wanted the Greek pronunciation - I didn't know it was included in Logos Scholar...just tried it and it works beautifully! Gonna have to get myself that Hebrew as well once it is available.

This is something we can't say. The base package comparison page only refers to Greek pronunciation. Since they typically list the features that are in the works and will be free updates once delivered (such as NIV OT reverse interlinear), currently Hebrew pronunciations are not advertised as such and many people who own the bigger packages have ordered them on Pre-Pub. They are not really expensive and you'll be charged when they ship, not today.

But then (unfortunately), Hebrew pronunciations are delayed for years now. It may well be that we see Logos 5 and updated/newly structured base packages before the Hebrew pronunciations.

Even the unspecialized packages ought to have this feature (as a destitute student, I have Silver). I remember seeing the Greek demonstrated, and assumed Hebrew was an equivalent resource.
