TIP of the day: God's Hebrew instructions
Some of you may have noticed an exchange in the forums where I complained about out of date Andersen-Forbes genre codes documentation and Eli Evans of Faithlife replied that he had updated it. He also added a couple of examples of its use which I am placing here in the forums.
You may also consider this a second post on the topic of reported speech, the first being limited to the words of Christ; this one being limited to the Hebrew Old Testament, and a future post will cover all instances but in less detail than the Andersen-Forbes genre coding.

2. A simple example of a search for reported speech: Divine instructions: The search argument is: <AndersenForbesGenre = qrl-div>. Note it is easy to convert this search into a Visual filter to have the Hebrew highlighted by genre.
3. The genre coding is also useful for limiting a search to a particular genre. Eli's example: @Vh WITHIN <AndersenForbesGenre = qrl-div> which finds Hifil-stem verbs within quarrels with divinity.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
