This is the third post on reported speech. The first was limited to the words of Christ, the second was a rather fine-grained genre tagging for Old Testament Hebrew, this is a generic speaker-addressee tagging available as a visual filter and as a search term.

1. Speaker and Addressee tagging is available as a visual filter under the Resource section of the Visual Filters.

2. These filters display as a megaphone (speaker) and a human figure (addressee).

3. Hover (mouse-over) brings up a tooltip window identifying the speaker and addressee.

4. Clicking on the respective icons will open the Factbook entry.

5. As the Speaker and Addressee tags are Faithlife generated, they always point to Person entries. Therefore when using a Search extension to find particular speakers or addressee it is appropriate to use the <Person name> format.

6. As usual, these search terms can be combined with other search terms.

7. Addressee and Speaker also appear as options in the Context Menu.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

    Thanks MJ

Probably worth pointing out that the Addressee filter is available as part of a Logos Now subscription.
