%NoCharFormatting

I am using the CBV tool and trying to edit my own style. I do not want the Character Formatting to carry over into my other software. But I find that even though I enter the code "%NoCharFormatting" it does not change anything.

For instance when I copy a verse from the NASB in CBV tool and paste it somewhere else the NASB formatting carries over. I am Logos Bible Software 6.5 SR-1 6.5.0.0044. Am I doing this right? Any suggestions?

Is the issue you are referring to the fact that verse 31 preserves the capital letters?

If so, these are encoded as "Small Caps" which I don't think are affected by CBV formatting options.

I created a CBV style using the formatting you provided above. It worked as I would expect on Ephesians 5:29-31

What is wrong with the results you are seeing?

I do not want it to retrain any formatting. Including the variation in text when quoting other text.

Sorry, I don't understand. Is the issue the "small caps" or something else?

I think I figured out my issue by thinking of how to respond to your question.

In the NASB verse 31 has different formatting then the rest of the text. I want all the formatting to be the same when copying it with my Logos tool. I guess Logos only recognizes the formatting already done by the NASB and brings it over. I want all the fonts to be the same when I copy it into a different program. I guess this isn't possible?

No, I don't think you can do this where the original resource uses small caps

I agree with Graham. Probably the only way to change it is to copy the text into a document and edit it there.
