Atlas Maps Slow to Load

I haven't really noticed this until the last 2-3 beta iterations, but does anyone else experience slow loading Atlas maps? 

I am using:

MacBook Pro (Late 2013) | 2.3 Intel i7 | 16 GB 1600 DDR3 | 2 GB nVidia

Very slow on a Mac.  Faster in windows.
