I was looking through the word by word part of the exegetical guide for Spicq's work om words, but everything pretty much had only initials, and even when I put the cursor over them, it never told me the name of the resource or the author. I just kept the initials. I still didn't find Spicq's work,and I know it has to be there.

What you are looking for are the initials TLNT.

Yes, the listings are a bit cryptic. In time you learn what the initials mean.

When you hover over a resource in Library, or open the Library information panel, after the title of the book you'll find the abbreviation Logos uses for the book.

If you wish to see TLNT near the top of the listed lexicons, try prioritizing it among your top three.

You probably know this, but TLNT is not a true lexicon so it does not cover as many words as something like BDAG. Sometimes you won't find it even when prioritized because it doesn't have an entry on the word you are looking at.

I did find Spicq later. I have the hard copy, so I checked the title.Eventually I may learn the abbreviations, but I still would consider this a bug. For all the work Logos puts into their system. this is something that got overlooked.

Do you mean that when you hover over the abbreviation that you don't get a pop-up telling you what it means?

If so, this isn't a bug but a design choice. Faithlife chose to give us a brief snippet of the actual reference when we hover, which I think is more valuable. Adding the title of the work to that snippet is another design question. I can see that as being helpful.

If they have to choose between a snippet and a title, I guess I would choose the snippet. But when a Greek lexicon notes a particular source, like, Spicq with no other information, I don't want to have to spend a lot of time looking for it. Have I been spoiled?

Maybe calling it a bug was not the best word. I think anybody who works for Logos is always for ways to improve it. This would be one.

As I said, perhaps Logos could put the title of the resource at the top of the snippet. Two for one.

But when a Greek lexicon notes a particular source, like, Spicq with no other information, I don't want to have to spend a lot of time looking for it.

A single left click on the blue resource abbreviation in the exegetical guide will open the resource to the right place.
