I simply ordered it because Craig Evans is the editor. I am working through his Mobile Ed courses at the moment.

Yeah I've always liked DTS and their classes on iTunes and I enjoy their short commentary. From the previews this looks to be just as good but I was curious how it stacks up against the IVP Background commentary. I have the OT IVP and I like it but I don't have the NT one. I remember from an earlier forum post that someone mentioned IVP being a really good one and the Zondervan one being not so good

IMHO - Both Bible Knowledge volumes are awesome and my first "go-to" for clarification and additional info. I wish the price was lower on these as they look good too. Evans is usually solid.

Say...isnt this https://www.logos.com/product/133/the-bible-knowledge-commentary cheaper and including the NT?
What gives?

It's not the same resource. The OP is talking about the Bible Knowledge Background Commentary published by David Cook. You are thinking of the Bible Knowledge Commentary out of DTS.
