Compre/Contract Revelation1 and Revelation 22

I am looking to see the similarities between Revelation Ch1 and Revelation Ch22 and wondered if there was a way for the software to analyze these two passages. Key words and similar phrases. I don't mean just viewing them side by side. Although I will be looking at it that way as well. Has Anyone done anything like this?

I am unable to answer you directly other than I am 100% sure i have seen such a chart doing this but am unable to track it down in my Library.

This is usually done through a concordance tool that recognizes phrases (n-grams) and provides statistics. The Logos concordance isn't there yet but it is a starting point. Or use the search to provide word counts.

If you want to see which words are common in two passages, you can do it like this:

1. Create a new Word List from the Documents menu. Rename it "Revelation 1".
2. Click Add, input the first passage (Revelation 1) in the box, and press Enter.
3. Close the Word List and repeat steps #1 and #2 for Revelation 22.
4. Click on the Merge menu. Choose your first word list on the left, then Intersection on the right.
5. You'll get a new word list, which lists all the words common to both, with the count of those words in the two passages. You can click on the Count heading to sort by count.
6. Several of the most common words will be 'the' and 'and', etc. You can delete these rows by right-clicking.

You'll be left with something like this:

Thank you Mark! But when I create a word list the box says lemma. When I type rev 1 in that box, a list is created but is all in greek. I cant see how to get the english words in there?

Do you have all these ticked?
