Search For Text Find Text Highlighted - How do I Un-highlight Results So I Can Read the Text

I clicked x on the search window and the highlighted results cleared so I could read my findings without the highlights.  

But is there another or better way to un-highlight you search findings?

I don't think so. AFAIK, your two options: Close the search panel OR clear the search field.
