Visual Filter dropdown is slow to appear in 6.6 RC2

Running 6.6 RC2 on Windows 8.1, the Visual Filter dropdown takes about three seconds to appear - as demonstrated by http://screencast.com/t/rGWSc64nCmdW

This used to be virtually immediate.

Anyone else seeing the same thing?
