Import / Export highlights and notes?

Hi there.

Is there some way of importing / exporting highlights and notes?

1. I'd really like to import because I have thousands of highlights from another software that I'd really like to not have to manually re-enter one at a time. If there's some kind of XML or CSV spec that I can format my data to, I can easily do that, no problem. But there doesn't seem to be any kind of option to import notes of any kind?

2. Exporting would be really really useful as well. You never know with software. A single sync glitch could cause all the notes and highlights I've built up over many years to disappear in one second. That's kind of a scary thought. Would really like to be able to export notes and highlights in some kind of easily parsable XML or CSV format, so I can keep them somewhere safe.

There would be no way to import the highlights from another software system.

You can export the contents (meaning references and notes you made) using the print / export feature. That will not give you a format that would enable to you import it into another software package.

As for losing everything you should consider that all of your notes and highlights are stored locally on your computer. They are also synced and stored on FL servers. If you lost everything locally, FL would have the back-up. If there was a catastrophic event that caused all of FL's data to be destroyed, the notes and highlights stored locally would not be affected.

If there is a catastrophic event significant enough to destroy everything you have at the same time everything FL has is destroyed as well, notes and highlights are probably not going to seem that important.[:)]
