I created a test personal book. I built it into Logos, and then I uploaded it. Now I want to delete it. I deleted it from the personal book tool, but it still appears in my library. How do I completely remove it?
I believe you need to hide the book Raymond. Go to TOOLS->Programming Settings and then scroll down to the section Hidden Books - Drag the book from your library to this list. You will then need to restart Logos and it will re-index your library so that it will be removed from your indexes as well as removing the file from your library.

Correct! Once uploaded you have to treat a PB as a Logos resource if you no longer want it in your Library.

Hiding will remove the personal book from your resources folder, but it does not re-index your library as that would take a very long time ---> the command rebuild personal index will remove the book from the appropriate index.

Thanks for clarifying that last point Dave.
Thanks for the help! I knew about hiding resources, but in my mind, that doesn't seem the same as deleting them completely. I appreciate the replies. Thank you.

Just to clarify that: In case of Logos resources (wherever you bought them) 'hiding' the resource removes the file from your hard drive - and this also syncs through other machines you may run Logos on. So it is deleted - but you still own the license and are entitled to use the resource. You're hiding this fact from yourself. But you may unhide the book, which makes it available again through Logos downloading it from their servers.
A personal book is not on Logos' servers (unless you uploaded it) and you can't unhide it. But you could build it again through the PB tool - since you deleted it there, it's gone and building a new PB from the same source will be a different book resource for Logos.
This is interesting for people who hide books where they made highlights and other notes. Of course you keep your note files (unless you delete them as well) and after unhiding a book the notes and highlights will be visible again at the same place.
That was real helpful, and makes sense. I "hid" my book, but it never appeared on the hidden resources list. So, in effect, it is gone. But since I "purchased" the other hidden resources, I can unhide them. Great! I understand now.

That really is interesting!!! This is why I love these forums...there's so much cool information to be gleaned from reading these forum posts (even the older posts like this one).
Thank you for this information. It's good to know.
