Link set problem

Is there a way to lock the link set to a specific resource?

Here is the problem:  I start by typing in a reference in my open Bible (set to link set A).  My open commentary also jumps to that same reference.  Now if I toggle left or right to switch to a different commentary, often the commentary is siting a wider reference range.  That causes my open Bible to also jump to that wider reference range.  Then if I keep toggling left or right, I end up in different passages rather than staying on the one I originally typed.

Is there a way to fix this?

I don't think there is a direct fix for this.

I have the same issue, but I work around it by opening the next commentary in a new tab (I click the "+" sign). When I am done, I close that tab (unless it was a commentary to which I want to return during my study), which returns the focus to my linked commentary, and open a new commentary in a new tab again. Clumsy, I know, but it's the best I can think of.
