I just got off of the phone with one of the sales associates (not going to name names). I had received an email earlier in the week from this sales person telling me of some "special deals" that he wanted to make me aware of. In the email is said that if I was interested in anything, that I should give them a call...I didn't. So, today I get a phone call saying that these sales were time sensitive and for X-amount that I could save myself some money by spreading my payments out over the next two years and it would "only increase my current payment by approx. $40/month." When I suggested that I wasn't interested at this time, they continued to remind me that this was a matter of time and I would need to make a decision quickly. I again said that I wasn't interested right now. After almost 5 minutes of saying "No, not interested right now" and they kept at it, so I hung up.
I currently have over 14K resources in my library (Diamond+) with over $1K in pre-pub and almost $1K "interested" money in CP...I'm getting rather selective in my resource acquisitions, so I don't really need much more. Are these sales associates getting paid commission or are they not being taught that "no" means "NO!"
I really don't want to sound harsh, but if I don't respond to an email, it usually means that I'm not interested at the moment. When I say "no" several times in a phone conversation, I would think they would get the hint.
Sorry for the rant!
