Hyperlink Glitch?

So I'm trying to insert a hyperlink into OneNote that will link back to the Logos resource (in this case the works of Philo). The problem is that once I click on the link to check if it works Logos says that I don't have a license to view that resource... even though I do and already have the resource open in another pane.

P.S. I get the same result with other works like Josephus, so it's not simply a broken hyperlink in Philo.

Are you on Mac? I know MSFT does funny things with hyperlinks on Mac.

the Dow jones abbreviation for Microsoft. I think you are out of luck. I have only recently migrated to the newest version of office for Mac, but previous versions were incompatible with logosres. Your results are interesting because the link used to do nothing. Unfortunately the issue is with office, not logos. At one time there was a workaround, but I don't remember what it is. It was a web shortner of some kind.

Well my PC is currently in my car... When I hook it up I'll see if the links I pasted through Mac work on PC.

My guess is that it won't... I think the issue begins with how MSFT actually creates the hyperlink. They add stuff to it, which is why you get the warning that you do.

Those should both be links although the forum software refused to make them active even though they look like links in the edit window.

Preface: I have never used one note. I opened it for the first time tonight and struggled to figure it out. When I finally did, the behavior I saw was what was described above: The hyperlink opened a "You don't have a license" warning. I went ahead and created a hyperlink in Word... It worked. This is great news for personal books, but doesn't explain the behavior in One Note.

I <think> the problem lies in One Note, but I am not fully sure. The link looks the same to me in both apps, so it is a bit perplexing.

Actually it did work. When I'm on my PC and click the links I created on my Mac it works fine.

The problem could be with FaithLife, Mac, or the OneNote for Mac program... But I remember last time I had a problem like this (references not copied) people kept insisting that the problem was with Mac when it turned out to be FaithLife. I think Logos on Mac just has more problems than the PC version.

Logos for Mac may or may not have "more" problems... It certainly has different ones. I keep reading about Windows 10 issues and laughing glad I'm not one of them... At least until I remember that 10.11 is coming out at the end of the month and we will inevitably have our own issues. [:P] I still lean towards one note as the culprit, especially when word does work.

That seems most likely, especially as MS Word has never worked previously. I am still using MS Office 2011, and hyperlinks are corrupted in that suite. So far, MS has not convinced me that I want/need 365.

I have free access to it... and I believe it is the best version ever. I don't know who I would recommend it to though. If someone OWNS 2011, and if it meets their needs, why bother. For Logos users, the ability to add Logosres to .docx files might be beneficial, but it would be a specialty feature... most users aren't going to need or use it.
