115.2 mb perpetual update problem

4111.cef.logLogos 6 has been telling me for days that I have a 115.2 mb update. It downloads easily, but then I continuously get a message: Another Logos Bible Software setup is already in progress. Please wait for it to finish. Then I get the message in L6 "installing application update". This update never finishes. If I restart L6, the same messages will appear.
Usually, when something like this happens, I follow advice Dave Hooten gave me awhile ago:
Delete the folders \Logos5\Data\2ruxd5bv.5ed\DownloadManager\ and
\Logos5\Data\2ruxd5bv.5ed\ResourceManager\Downloaded
Then restart L6. However, the DownloadManager folder will not delete.
What should I do? 6747.Logos.log

Be careful about previous advice as it does not apply to all download situations. So this application update cannot be treated like a resource update! If a restart of the computer does not resolve the situation then go to Tech Support.

That message is displayed when Logos Setup detects that another instance of itself is already running. Under certain circumstances, the setup can run longer than expected and we found that users were occasionally launching Logos Setup a second time, which was causing the two instances to interfere with one another. Because of this, we added the check. I can't imagine why there might be another Logos Setup running, and usually the log file would show entries from both instances, if there were two, but your log file does not show that. If you check Task Manager, do you see more than one?

It's also strange that you couldn't delete this folder, as though it's locked by another program. Might you by chance have more than one Windows user account on your machine, and maybe the other user is logged in and running Logos? I assume you're restarted your machine...

Thank you Brian and David
Yes, I have restarted the computer several times. That does not fix the problem.
Logos is installed only on my computer, so this cannot be a problem caused by multiple accounts.
But, I did check task manager and found Logos.exe running twice (even after restarting the machine and not restarting Logos). Also running is LogosCEF.exe and Logos Setup and LMS.exe (not sure if that is part of Logos). All these are running after a restart of the computer and without turning on Logos software.
I attempted to end processes on all of these but access is being denied. I am the administrator so I am not sure why I do not have access to end the programs.
Also, Brian, once I kept the computer on all night in case the updating process needed a long time to finish. But after 8 hours, all was still the same. Any thoughts would be welcomed. What programs, for example, may be locking up Logos? Could Zone alarm be doing that?

Thanks Jan
I have done that, checked for viruses, etc...I keep the machine clean and up to date. None of the checks produced anything
