Problem with Labeling

I was following Dr. Proctors videos on making labels. The problem that I am having, once the label is created and I highlighted text in the KJV, instead of the label name appearing, it is filed under"King James Version' rather than 'Prophecy.' What do I need to do to make it listed under Prophecy. I have attached 2 screen shots to explain what is happening when a label is created. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Robert - and welcome to the forums

I'm not sure exactly what steps you are going through but you have - as you say - ended up with a Notes file called "King James Version".

In your second screenshot you will see that there is a small pencil icon to the top right of "King James Version". If you click on that you will be able to change the name of the file to anything you want (actually just clicking in the text field allows you to change it)

Does this give you what you need or am I missing your point?

Thanks for your reply. I am training myself with Camp Logos 2 (Logos 6). I was following the video called 'Labels: Label with One Default Attribute.' I have not gone on to the next video as of yet.

I did what you suggested. I was able to change the note to Prophecy. The issue I think is that when you change the name of the Label and you want to add other references to that label, it always defaults back to create another KJV note, rather than to add the reference to 'Prophecy.' It was my understanding that when you do a note and use the same label, everything should go under that note: 'Prophecy.' That way you can have all the references, let say for 'Prophecy: Fulfilled in the person of Jesus' in one note file.

Conveniently, I hadn't even noticed that you were posting in the Logos 5 forum, so I was already assuming you were running Logos 6. [:D]

The "Save in" setting mentioned in the Help resource is accessed by right-clicking on the "Label" palette in your Highlighting panel.

The only way to put the highlight/label where you want is:-

change the "Save in" for Labels palette to "Most recent note file"
open the Prophecy note file, or click its tab if already open ----> to ensure it is the "most recent"
create your highlight/label ---> it will be saved in Prophecy

When I set it up that way, it just gets added to my most recent note and it is not labeled at all "Prophecy." Just wanted to find out if my settings were correct and I have viewed the video in my Camp Logos 2 (Logos 6) edition repeatedly and it always comes out the same, not adding a new note : Prophecy.

I thought you had a Note file called Prophecy when you renamed the KJV Note file as suggested by Graham? If you open it (or click on its tab) before you apply a Prophecy highlight (with its label) an entry will be added to that note file (the most recent). Let me illustrate

My Label test file is open and I click its tab to ensure it is the most recent note file. It contains several entries for the label "Personality" but I also added entries for "Tagging" and "typo". If I wanted, I could have called the file "Personality" and restrict it to labels with that name.

Perhaps you better explain what you mean by "not adding a new note: Prophecy".
