ALL note documents showing up under visual filters?

I just noticed that all of my note documents are now showing up under my visual filters icon on a given resource. Given that I make a new notes document for each and every resource I work on, this means I have MANY note files to scroll through. Is there a way to go back to the situation where the only notes that are shown are those with highlights/notes from the document in question?

I believe this is the same issue as flagged at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/116957.aspx
If so, Bradley acknowledged it as a regression introduced in 6.6 and he has filed a case for it to be addressed
