Is it me or should this be a free feature from the get go?

Why is this part of Logos Now for an additional charge....shouldn't it be free with every package please?:

"Now you can add multiple translations of the Bible or even commentaries in the same panel with the Multiview Resources tool."

I shall never understand why basic functionality isn't built-in right off in Logos. To me it is as if the developers have never sat in with a tablet open in a weekly Bible study with other non-logos-users and tried to follow along and/or look up items quickly in say the Logos Baptist 6.x Windows version for example.

...then again I believe that my Google voice recognition on my phone should work properly on my Android phone too when I am speaking an IM into it as well. At least Logos doesn't automatically guess wrong on words and add items arbitrarily I never said. For example my dog's name is JIGGER. You do not even want to know what it thinks I am saying every time and substituting **** for!

Here's hoping that the next iteration of Logos is dummied downward and tailored for us less technical users who do not need pie charts for Greek or Hebrew words, etc. and would prefer devotionals that opened to the correct day automatically in a legible format on our Logos Homepage or actually quickly allowed us to open our favorite Bibles and commentaries quickly on a Sunday morning without putting on a programmer hat (praying that a layout we created at home still works) or going for coffee while the Windows Tablet tries to access the wifi on your phone, etc.

Sigh...I will dream tonight of a useful homepage that isnt laden with sales items and actually contains THE BIBLE and a few daily devotionals.

I never made it to Gold....I didnt need all the original language stuff (for some that is huge and I do know its important....but not yet for me).

You can already do everything multiview does, just not in the same pane:

The text comparison tool already exists
I can line commentaries up in the panel next to my Bible already
I can sync scrolling of Bible and commentary (I never use this - it's annoying to me - but I could if I want)

All that to say... all this functionality is already free with every package, it just doesn't do it all in the same pane.

What advantage does having it in the same pane actually give you?

Since you asked, "It's you". While a number of people appreciate the multi-resource panel, it adds no new functionality - it merely provides another way to get it. In no way, implied or explicit, were you promised this feature with any of the resources you have purchased. I would hate to see Logos dummied downward - it already provides so many "helps" that leave only one interpretative possibility and provide use with pre-drawn answers for techniques where the act of drawing the diagram or adding the tags is the purpose of the exercise that I logos gets any more dumbed down, I'll be asking for ways hide features so I won't be tempted to "cheat"... in short, I lean closer to George's dislike of interlinears as a hindrance to actually learning a language, than I do to your "dumb it down". But then again, one thing I have learned through the Logos forums, is that different churches aim their teaching materials at different levels of education - and often not in the ways I would have expected.

Many of your concerns appear from a distance to be caused by having a library that goes beyond your interests. Many features are hidden if your resources don't support them.

Your question carries the implication that it should be free if you have already purchased a Logos 6 package but ignores the fact that those packages have to pay for the features specifically developed for L6 ('basic' or otherwise). And you are missing the essence of Logos Now, which means you don't have to wait for Logos 7 for new features. This feature may well be free with Logos 7 e.g. Inline Search comes with the free Logos 6 Core Engine.
