TIP of the day: arcane features and dreaming
1. Reading cycles are a feature that was developed as a way for Logos to deliver Daf Yomi (reading plan). Do read the Wikipedia article to understand what this Talmud reading plan is. Pay special attention to some of the other reading plans mentioned near the end of the article ... and dream of having Shnayim mikra ve-echad targum (Weekly Torah portion with Rashi) – weekly or daily study (1-year cycle) available in Logos ... yes, that would required Rashi 
The Reading Cycle appears on the Home Page in the left column.
For those of you with no interest in Jewish writings, there are parallel opportunities with reading plans for the Lutheran Book of Concord, the Reformed Heidelberg Catechism, the Early Church Fathers etc. which can be made as Reading Cycle via the PB tool ... or even better we could get Logos to offer these as appropriate in base packages as they do lectionaries.
2. Mouse over the Home page daily entry title generates a small popup. It provides a slightly expanded description.
3. Clicking on the heading opens the resource in a lectionary resource format.
4. While this is convenient for isolating the portion that is to be read, it is at the cost of meaningful right-click context menus. No matter where in the text you click, the right menu appears similar to this:
5. However, a mouse over the reading for the day brings up a standard preview.
6. Clicking on the reading itself opens the Talmud to the appropriate starting point. However, there is no indication of the end of the reading. However, right click menus, filters etc. all work in the expected manner.
7. To see the entry for some date other than today's day, click on "today" in the up right. It opens a calendar style date selection option.
Now look at the web links for supporting materials provided in the Wikipedia. Then think of the possibilities - not just the confessional materials mentioned above but Calvin's Institutes, Aquinas' Summa Theologica ... and think of the power of hundreds of people around the world committed to a serious study of these seminal writings .- ordinary lay people sitting and seriously discussing religious issues. There's a reason the title of this tip includes the word "dreaming" ... what if Logos supported a website of materials similar to the "external links" ... or if videos were made available on U-tube?
