Should I have a license for this if I already had it (at least 2 of the 3 resources) through a Logos 4 Base Package?
https://www.logos.com/product/4468/the-net-bible
I want to see if anyone had this question answered already before I contact CS. Thanks.
I also do not have the "noteless" version. But with your visual filters you can create your own noteless version by unchecking the "footnote indicators" box.
I think you have the noteless version but notes show in it because you also have the license for the notes... My guess is they are all listed on the page because the page is partly automated...
When I look at the product page it shows that I own all the resources - but I don't know in which purchase they became available
May be best to check with Customer Services

Can you explain what you mean? The original post is asking if the resource should be owned by him because of a previous base package purchase in Logos. Are you a Logos user?
Hi da;
I was looking at the site yesterday, and I must say that it is very nice. What I'm looking for is to get the Noteless part of the The NET Bible into my Logos system. I have the 2 primary component (The NET Bible and The NET Bible 1st Edition Notes), but not the remain Noteless component/resource.
Thanks
i believe you have the noteless version in your package as we have given it to logos.

Thanks Graham;
This is what I want to show for me as well (that I own all three). It has been bugging me off and on, that I'm missing 1 part of the resource. Prior to Faithlife/Logos upgrading the website, it would just show that one didn't own the resource, but now we are able to see why it says that. [:)]
Some do, and some do not have it. Logos has it on their website as 1 resource with 3 components. Due to not having the 3rd component (the Noteless), the resource is shown as "Not Owed", and there is no dynamic cost reduction. I know that you give the Noteless edition free to all (very much appreciated), but in Logos, it is not separated from the complete resource and not free. I have Faithlife Customer Service working on this now, Looking forward to the resolution.
Hi John;
It's a separate component of the resource. Some have it, and some don't.
Hi NK;
I'm aware that this can be done, but it would be nice to have the complete resource, and have the website show that it is owned. The 2 main components (that are for sale everywhere) most people have, but the free component that is freely given away is missing. I think it may have something to do with the change from Libronix and Logos, but I'm not sure. Waiting for an answer and resolution from Faithlife.

Interesting. I am seeing the same thing as you. I do know that at one time there were some translations which showed up as unowned in the store despite having licenses. Perhaps this is a similar (or the cause of the) issue?
Once Faithlife responds with an answer and resolution, I will ask them to also respond this post also, that everyone may have an answer. [:)]

Hi Alabama24;
Hopefully Faithlife will respond soon. It's like a pebble in the shoe; not enough to caused great pain, but enough to cause discomfort. [:)]
When this resource was created originally, it was helpful for have a noteless version so that you could have the Bible in one window and the notes in another window without (a) having to hover/click on footnotes, and (b) cluttering your Bible with footnote indicators.
Neither is necessary now as you have the page view that can show footnotes, and visual filters which can turn off the footnote indicators. So there's no longer any benefit from a noteless version which is presumably why it was removed from base packages.
People who bought older base packages (or the NET Bible as a separate product) will have all three resources. Others will only have the two that most useful today. Personally, I think it's a good think that base package owners aren't getting charged for something that's not terrible useful.
That is a reasonable explanation except that the price remains unchanged.
There's no price set for the NET Bible with notes, because it's not available separately: https://www.logos.com/product/49033/the-net-bible-net-with-notes

I just realized something. The NET Bible and the Notes are still included in the base packages, but the Noteless is not. I thought that the complete NET Bible was removed completely from the L6 base packages. Perhaps Faithlife will just release the Noteless resource to all, or just remove Noteless from the complete resource and packages. As has already been stated, with today's Logos system, it actually is no longer required, but it is still a bugging issue that the resource continues to display as not owned on the website.

Awesome!
Just thought I'd jump in here and report what I am seeing. When I go to the bottom of the product page (https://www.logos.com/product/4468/the-net-bible) I am currently being shown that I own the NET Bible and the NET Bible First Edition Notes, but NOT the NET Bible First Edition (Noteless). The top of the page says I qualify for a 100% discount based on products I already own. I have the option to buy the product for free, which would add the Noteless Edition.
EDIT: Just out of curiosity I added it to my cart and bought it. Noteless Edition added to my library for free. Thank you Faithlife!

This behavior is new as of today. Thanks for pointing it out.
The screenshot that Matthew (above forum post) posted is the answer. [:)]
I was waiting for Faithlife to respond with an official answer, as that would have been more appropriate than for me to post the answer given to me.
The Thanks goes to:
Zachary (of Faithlife) for spearheading the effort to get this resolved.
Faithlife Marketing for implement the change.
Faithlife for allowing this to take place.
And to da (permissions director for the publisher) for chiming in.
Thank you All. [:D]
I think we can set this issue/question to rest, and count it as resolved.

I just had a similar experience with Matthew above.
The Noteless Edition is being indexed now.
Thank you for this thread and thank you Faithlife.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I just noticed that I can get the NET Bible (which I already own) for $0 with dynamic pricing. I found this thread and, from what I gather, this is the noteless version whereas the version I already own includes notes.
My question is: Is there any benefit to downloading this noteless version of NET? It doesn't seem to me that there is, but I figured I'd ask in cas I am missing something.
Now if we can get it setup with an interlinear/ morphology- life would be great[:D]

Yes I have done that- but it just isn'y happening fast enough[:(]
Frankly, I'm not sure why anyone would want the noteless NET. I consider it to be about on par with the Message, which is a bit ironic since the NET's notes are some of the best found anywhere, particularly for a quick overview of pertinent textual issues. But the NET translation committee never met an emendation they didn't like. There isn't the slightest hesitancy in preferring a complete change of letters and words in the original text. The good thing is that they usually fully explain what the reasons for doing or not doing it are. I appreciate that about the notes, but I disagree with their choices for the NET text far more than half of the time (or at least it seems that way, even if it's only 20-30% of the time).
